Julia B. Harris

Julia Beth “Julie” Harris, beloved mother, 63, went to be with the lord on November 20, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer. After raising her five children, Julie devoted her life to bringing joy to her grandchildren.
 Julie was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Turner. She was predeceased in death by a daughter, Cynthia Thompson of Norfolk and a granddaughter, Felicity Thompson also of Norfolk. 
 Julia is survived by her four children, Melanie Burt and husband Joe of Virginia Beach, Kristina Hodges and husband Josh of Chesapeake, Kenneth Harris of Norfolk and Heather Harris also of Norfolk. She is also survived by brothers, Thomas G. Felland and wife Sandy of Norfolk, James D. Felland and wife Sue of Chesapeake and a sister Jacqueline Bishop and husband Bill of Corpus Christi Texas. Julie will be deeply missed by her 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 
 A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday November 26, 2017 followed by a service at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to CHKD hospital in Norfolk Va. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.altmeyer.com.
