Judith Ann Davis

May 15, 1945 - March 26, 2024

05/15/1945 - 03/26/2024

Judith (Judy) Ann Davis, 78, passed away peacefully at her home on March 26, 2024.  Judy was born May 15, 1945, in Haverhill, MA to the late Earle and Barbara Dunham. She was a graduate of Great Bridge High School and married her high school sweetheart, Oscar (Buddy) Ivey.  Judy had a thriving career in the banking industry and last worked for Atlantic Permanent Savings and Loan where she was a Branch Manager and Assistant Secretary.   Judy later married the late Donald D. Davis.   Judy loved her career, but her greatest joy was raising her two sons Chris and Brandon and her cherished grandchildren.  Judy knew no stranger; her friendliness did not go unnoticed. She had a special way of making you feel like family or that you had been friends with her for years.

Judy was predeceased by her brothers Bradley Dunham and James (Jimmy) Dunham.  She is survived by two brothers Joe Dunham (Linda) of GA, and Scott Dunham (Jean) of VA, her two sons, Chris Ivey (Lisa) and Brandon Ivey, three grandchildren Amanda (29), Jarred (22) and Parker (4), and her best friend of 64 years, Becky Fenska.  Judy spent the last four years happier than she had ever been.  Parker had reignited the joy and happiness in her life.  She will be truly missed.  A celebration of her life will be held later this Spring.

Judy was an amazing person! We met through our spouses and when the kids were very young (Chris, Brandon, Michelle and Rodney and Judy’s young brother who was basically her 3rd child), we spent many wonderful times together. Judy’s beautiful smile always lite up a room and her friendly personality warmed many a heart. Chris and Brandon I want to say, I am sorry for the loss of your Mother. I am sure that young grandchild brought so much joy into her life—she loved kids and doing fun things with them.
