Joyce Nodler, wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated member of the community, passed away on August 18, 2023, in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was born on June 28, 1941, in Hanover, Virginia, to the late Floyd and Bertha Kelley Dyson. At the time of her passing, Joyce was 82 years old.
Joyce dedicated her life to creating a home for her family. As a homemaker, she cared for her loved ones, from the meals she prepared with love to the countless hours she spent tending to her family.
Beyond her role as a homemaker, Joyce found joy in giving back to her community. She volunteered at her cherished church, Bruton Parish, where she dedicated her time to the gift shop. Joyce was known for her sewing skills and keen eye for decorating. Additionally, she had a green thumb and took great pride in tending to her plants, showcasing her love for nature.
Joyce will be missed, In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert R. Nodler.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Charles Nodler and Kevin Ray Nodler, and her grandchildren, Sam, Jack, Charlotte, and Maggie Grace.
In her final years, Joyce found solace and companionship within the walls of Bruton Parish. Her faith provided her with comfort and strength, and she cherished the friendships she formed through her church community.
Joyce’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, but her memory will forever be treasured.
