Jonathan Pinkney, age 36, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on June 13, 2023, in Virginia. Although his time on this earth was short, Jonathan left a lasting impression on all those who knew him.
Born in 1987, Jonathan spent most of his career at the Eggleston Day Program, where he made countless friends and touched many lives. When he wasn’t busy brightening up everyone’s day at work, Jonathan enjoyed spending time pursuing his interests, such as obsessing over Ross Dress for Less – and don’t forget TJ Maxx and Marshalls – constantly searching for new fashion inspirations, and dreaming of starting his own clothing company named J-Pink. He also had a profound spiritual connection with God and loved to showcase his style with his favorite bright-colored hat adorned with built-in dreads.
Aside from his fashion forward thinking, Jonathan also loved working out and showing off by dropping down to do push-ups wherever he went. He was also an avid sports fan, especially when it came to his beloved Knicks, an enthusiastic music lover, with a particular fondness for Bob Marley, and always eager to catch up on the latest viral videos on YouTube.
Jonathan will be remembered and missed by endless friends, everyone at Egglestons, his caretaker, social workers, doctors, and nurses. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 5-7 pm for those who worked with him, and funeral services will take place the following day, Monday, June 26, at 1:00pm. We will all miss Jonathan dearly, but he will live on through the memories and love he left behind.
