Seeing Andrea and Aaron last night and you not there is really starting to hit home hard now. Andrea and Aaron shared alot of great pictures and memories of you and even gave me and Jayla a few to keep, such a great visit. Can’t believe you are gone at such a young age…….all my memories of you are ones of laughter and never ending fun,you were always great to hang out with and just be around. Your always going to be a young active crazy guy! I know you are the proudest father of Aaron and will be watching over him always. He’s the greatest parts of you and Andrea. Till we meet again my brother, I love you, rest in peace.

It has been years since we last spoke but the memories of soccer practice and the battles on the field will always stay with me. May God continue to bless and keep you.

“there’s time for laughing and there’s time for crying—
for hoping from despair for peace for longing
—a time for growing and a time for dying:
a night for silence and a day for singing
but more than all(as all your more than eyes
tell me)there is a time for timelessnes”
E.E. Cummings

John-You will always stay gold in my mind and heart! I will forever remember you and your sisters in the summer of ’83 when I met you all at the Bannister Pool; The Police playing on the loud speaker ‘Every breath you take’, Layla teaching me to back dive, Semra being older than her years we were always laughing, and you with the kindest bluest eyes, dark and handsome would smile–we quickly becoming friends. I was shy but on the field I was strong and you ALWAYS picked me to be a part of your ALL STAR team (I still have all those ribbons in an album somewhere) and I would without a second thought help you get through schoolwork, homework, and tests. We were quite a team. And I loved that you and my brother Errol became good friends in highschool, keeping the Asuncion-Richards connection remain strong.
Thank you for always being a dear friend, even though we ran in different circles of friends, you were always kind, believed in me, and honored my differences, you have ALWAYS been a good and true friend. It has been a real pleasure to reconnect over Facebook rehashing the good times and letting me know how much I meant to you and for me to share how much you meant to me; little did we know that we were saying our final good byes and it saddens me that we will never get that chance to share a hug ever again in this lifetime.

Rest in peace dear friend knowing you were blessed with a loving family and cherished by a lifetime of friends. Kindness in love is timelessness.

My heart goes out to the Richards family. You are all kept in thoughts and prayers as you lay your beloved to rest today.

With love, I will cherish the memories, always.
