John H. Weaver, Jr passed away unexpectantly on Monday, 26 December 2022 at home in Va. Beach VA. John was born November 3, 1966 Salisbury MD. to Cdr. John “Herb” Weaver and Martha Weaver. He was a graduate of Frank W. Cox High School in Va. Beach, VA.
The Weaver family settled in Va. Beach in 1970 where John grew up enjoying the “beach life”, surfing, swimming and fishing. In his later years John enjoyed working with his hands and loved his job in construction, refurbishing Starbucks and other businesses for Element Woodwork and for Independence Construction of Virginia (ICV). He had a quick wit and can-do attitude that endured him to many. He also enjoyed annoying his sisters and playing Mothers “favorite”. He will be dearly missed.
John is predeceased by his father, Cdr. John H. Weaver. Left to cherish his memory is his Mother, Martha G. Weaver, his older sisters, Patricia W. Chulick and husband Jack, Debbie Weaver, his nephew J.P. Chulick and a host of cousins and loving friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr., Virginia Beach.

Rest in Peace John. You were a cool dude and always friendly and happy. I remember skateboarding with you at Marcus Holman’s ramp and surfing at the beach among other things growing up. God Bless you and your family.
I have fond memories of his smile and sweet personality. I saw him at school and at the beach. Bless his heart and blessings to John’s family. May he rest in Peace.
We ran around in high school. Had some of the best times of my life. He gave me my nickname “Splendy”. The name stuck and all my closest friends called me that. Some still do today. Sad to have lost contact with him in these later years. I will forever cherish his smile, laugh, kind and gentle nature and the best of many times we had. May he rest in peace.
