We are saddened to share that John Christopher Litton, 54, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2022, in Virginia Beach, VA. He was a beloved dad, son, and brother. Born October 18,1967, in Radford, VA, John lived most of his life in Winchester, VA.
John spent much of his life working as a paint contractor. He enjoyed great music, great cars, making people laugh, and spending time with family. More than anything in this world, he loved his daughter, Kaitlyn. They had a special bond, and he lit up when she was in the room. John had one of the sweetest and kindest souls you could ever know. There wasn’t a person, child, or animal alive that he wouldn’t go out of his way to make friends with at any given moment.
John was preceded in death by his infant son, Justin, and his father, Joey Litton. Surviving are his daughter, Kaitlyn Litton of Winchester, VA; mother, Carolyn Duff of Virginia Beach, VA; and sister, Ana Litton, of Seattle, WA. John left behind a large and loving extended family. He also left behind a beloved 19-year- old kitty, Macon, who will miss snoozing on his lap.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home, 228 S. Pleasant Valley Rd., Winchester, VA. Family will receive guests beginning at 1:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in John’s name to one of these organizations that represent his kind and gentle heart and soul: Dakota’s Dream Animal Rescue: The Kids Clubs of Northern Shenandoah Valley: Winchester Rescue Mission:
John, I’ll miss our Christmas Day pajama parties. ❤️
Finally . . . Peace.
We love you.
