John Allen Place, born on July 21, 1957, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, at his Virginia Beach home. At the age of 65, John left behind a legacy of hard work and dedication to his family and friends.
Johnny lived in his home over 35 years. He was like family to all his neighbors and friends always giving love and support he was just a phone call away, and always came through, whether to fix an AC unit or an electrical issue. He attended all the children’s activities, he always was involved. more like a father. He’s helped us in so many ways being caring and loving always available for a great conversations, and laughs that will last forever in our hearts. He will be very deeply missed. He has gone home to be with The Lord and loved ones.
John’s mother, Vera Ann McKee, father, John Arthur Place, and brother, Larry Place, preceded him in death.
John is survived by his beloved dog, Lulu; son, John Michael Place; daughter, Carrie Ann Hendrix; and dear friend, Christine. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
Johnny was a good friend helped show me more than a few things in our young days. God speed Johnny you will be missed and remembered.!
Mr. John was definitely a staple in my family’s life. Not only was he a neighbor, but, he was an extended part of our family. He had such a generous heart, was patient, and kind. We are sad he is gone, but, glad he is now at peace. He is already missed.
