Jenny Soto, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 58. She was born on September 5, 1964, in Orlando, Florida, but her impact was felt far beyond her place of birth.

Jenny led a life of service and inspiration, dedicating over 20 years to proudly serving her country in the United States Navy. Her dedication and commitment led her to achieve the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After her military career, Jenny continued to contribute to her community by working in civil service, leaving a lasting mark wherever she went.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jenny enjoyed tending to her garden and working in her yard, finding solace and joy in nurturing nature’s beauty. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to embark on local and international travels, embracing the opportunity to explore different cultures and broaden her horizons. Jenny also had a passion for antiques; she cherished the process of finding unique treasures and collecting them with care. As a true admirer of diverse storytelling, she could often be found engrossed in Korean and other foreign soaps and TV dramas, finding delight in their compelling narratives.

Jenny will be deeply missed by her adoring son, Alexander Ekker, who carries her strength and resilience in his heart. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends, all of whom were touched by her unwavering kindness and genuine spirit. Though she has left this earthly realm, her memory and the impact she made on those around her will forever remain.

Services to honor Jenny’s life will be held on Thursday, July 13, at 2:00pm at the Albert G Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery. A burial ceremony, accompanied by the military honors she wholeheartedly deserved, will serve as a tribute to her remarkable military service and unwavering dedication.

Jenny Soto’s spirit will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and resilience that will be cherished and remembered for generations to come. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.

Deeply saddened by this loss too soon from our world. Jenny made a difference in everything she touched, a tremendous positive influence with her own quiet way, full of grace. Working together many times for over 15 years Jenny made significant contributions to our Navy and Joint Command and Control systems as a contractor. Her professional work was not her top achievement. Reserved in her private life is Jenny’s pride in the man Alex has become and his continued quest for his dreams.
