Knotts Island – Jeanne Marie Atwood, 58, died November 4, 2020. Jeanne was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Raymond Arthur Bastedo and Shirley Ann Getman. She has worked as a farm hand and a commercial fisherman. Jeanne loved being outside. She enjoyed driving in Mud Bog competitions and crabbing. Jeanne was predeceased by a sister.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of over 31 years, John Atwood; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; a host of other family and friends; and her beloved dog, Dare.
Graveside services will be held on Monday at 12:30 pm at Knotts Island Cemetery. Viewing will be available on Monday at the cemetery from 12:00 pm until 12:20 pm. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.

I remember Jan, you and I becoming fast friends in Elementary School, reading Nancy Drew books, a shared love of horses, swimming in the swimming hole, church Junior choirs, birthday parties, the list is endless.
