Jeanette White Cason

Jeanette White Cason, 95, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 15, 2023.  Mrs. Cason was born on Knotts Island, NC, on April 5, 1928, daughter of the late Sidney and Lelia White.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wilbur (Bug) W. Cason, Jr., and a daughter, Deborah Cason Wright.  She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Borg (Steve) and Anita Smith (Brian), 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was a member of the Knotts Island Baptist Church.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Knotts Island Cemetery with Pastor Frank Jennings officiating.  Her family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or The Dementia Society of America.  Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory in Chesapeake is handling the arrangements.  Friends are invited to share memories, condolences and to sign the online guestbook at www.altmeyerfh.com.
