I read with great sadness in my local paper in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York, the passing of one great lady. I have known Jean since our days at Glen Cove City Hall (1980). We talked practically every day. She was a bit older than me and so much wiser. I corresponded with Jean when she moved away. She always told me that she looked forward to the annual Christmas cards from me showing off my family. My kids grew up with Jean through the mail and my puppy too. I can’t believe she has passed, and I will miss her and remember her fondly. RIP in peace my dear friend.
