Jean M. Deane went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2022 in Norfolk, Virginia.  Jean was born in North Carolina on January 24, 1933 to the late Oscar and Sula Miller.

Other than her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband Paul Deane.  

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah Carper (Bruce), Donna Thompson (Michael); son, Scott Deane; grandchildren, Jill, Nicole, Paul, Joanna, Rachel, Tabitha and Leah; great-grandchildren Kaleigh, Ashlyn and many other extended great-grandchildren; and many more family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at Burrows Memorial Baptist Church (1539 Johnstons Rd, Norfolk, VA, 23518) at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502).

Dear, sweet Donna…. How often we have “compared mama’s” and our love for ours. My heart is broken for you. How many times have I said…”i just couldn’t deal? Knowing God gives us what we need to deal with such losses….OUR MAMA’S, (JUST like Diane with hers) are/were our BEST FRIEND…..I TRULY, HONESTLY ACHE FOR YOU…..THEY ARE OUR HEROS… REST WELL MAMA DEANE… we’ll keep our eye on yours….
