Taswell, I can’t begin to imagine the heartbreak that you are going through. Not many marriages last 55 years. You have lost your soulmate, and you surely have many memories of good and not-so-good times which you will reflect upon in the days ahead. Your faithfulness to Janice and your family is commendable. The last years may have had difficult times, but you took care of her with faithful love and care. Thoughts and fears may sometimes trouble your mind, but I encourage you to remember the long life you had with Janice and the blessings you experienced in those 55 years. No one relishes the declining and bad health years, and death is always upsetting. You and Janice have many friends. They are pulling for you now. I am glad that our Lord has promised grace and comfort for these unsettling times. Betty Faye and I are praying that you may continually experience the peace and comfort of our loving heavenly Father. We love you and your family. We considered Janice a very important friend. We grieve with you and your family during these times. May God’s blessings continually uphold you.
