James Wesley Hechtkopf, 40, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 3, 2015 at 9:00 AM with a memorial service to follow at 10:00 AM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach.

James worked for me as a Marine when we were stationed at Headquarters Marine Corps together. He was an outstanding Marine that I could always count on to accomplish any task that was given to him. A Marine’s Marine! Semper Fidelis!
