James “Jim” Reynolds Bolen, 61, passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2022. Jim was born to the late George and Jeanne Bolen in Brooklyn, New York on February 23, 1961.
Jim grew up with his siblings in New Jersey. Upon his father’s death, Jim and his family moved to the Gulfport, Mississippi area. Jim spent his teenage years in Mississippi delivering newspapers and working on tug boats. Jim graduated from the University of Alabama, Roll Tide. He served his country for a few years in the Army Reserves, worked as a helicopter mechanic and as a certified crane operator. Jim loved target shooting, fishing, trains, building things and driving around and making noise in his Humvee.
Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife, Yvonne Bolen; son, William James Bolen; siblings, George Bolen and Virginia Bolen Henry ; many more extended family members and friends.
A private memorial service will be held for Jim at a later date.

My favorite brother in law, Jim was a good husband and a great father. A rocking Cat Daddy he loved his Humvee almost as much as his kitties.
He left us too soon, and we will miss him terribly.
