James A. Morris

James A. Morris, 60, of Surry, VA, passed away on March 2, 2016 in Norfolk, VA. A longtime resident of Hampton Roads, James spent time serving in the United States Marine Corps. Later after leaving the military service, James was awarded an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Thomas Nelson Community College. He went on to work as a computer analyst for the RJ Reynolds company. In addition to being a member of Fox Hill Baptist Church, James enjoyed spending time with family and playing on a dart team.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James B. and Mary Joan Morris, as well as his brother James “Burt” Morris. He is survived by his wife Deborah J. Morris, stepsons Camron Scott Sanchez and Curtis M. Meyers, daughter-in-law Courtney Dunlevy, brother Leonard Morris and his wife Lauren, sister-in-law Hope Morris, and his two beloved grandchildren, Keira J. Dunlevy and Maddox Dunlevy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Rushmere Shores Association Pavilion on South Shore Dr. in Smithfield, VA.
