CHESAPEAKE – Jake Robert Williamson, 28, died October 5, 2020 at his home. Jake had a compassionate and giving heart, a wonderful, wry sense of humor, and a spirit of playfulness that he wasn’t quick to show, except to those closest to him. He was shy by disposition, but his laugh was contagious, and his smile would light up a room without words. He excelled in sports growing up, especially soccer, but he didn’t play just for fun, he played to win. He always loved watching, playing, and talking about sports; he also enjoyed drawing, reading novels, and watching documentaries. Most of all, he loved his family, his girlfriend, and his dogs. Jake cared deeply about those close to him, and his death is felt as a profound loss.
Jake is survived by his devoted and loving family: his parents, Rad and Gina Williamson; grandparents, Bob and Helen Casper; brothers, Tyler Williamson, Erin and Jessica Williamson (Jack and Cassie), and Ashley and Ashley Williamson (Logan and Lola); aunts, Allison Williamson, Peggy and Ken Ellis (Sean and Caitlin), Jackie and Mike Savarese (Andrew, Spencer, Shelen, Micah, and Casper), and Lisa Casper; uncles, Frank Casper (Hunter, Carter, and Riley Anne), John and Lauren Casper (Mareto and Arsema), and Fil Williams. He is also survived by the love of his life, Julie Hendriks, his girlfriend of the past 10 years; and by his sweet “old lady,” Kelty Dog.
He left us too soon, unexpectedly, and we are heartbroken. We will miss him every day.
Jake will be interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Continuing to pray for the entire Williamson family. I still can’t believe that Jake is gone. Please accept my deepest condolences.
