Howard Warren “Skip” Beecher, 56, passed peacefully on January 6, 2016. Born July 23, 1959 in Portsmouth, he was an avid Redskins fan. He also enjoyed lottery scratchers, thrift stores, and routing for Jeff Gordon during Nascar races. Skip was best known for his sense of humor which he never lost during his long battle.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Christopher Beecher and his wife Melissa; grandchildren, Aryanna and Noah Beecher; siblings, Sharon Busick, Trish Robinson, Mike Beecher, Nancy Beecher, and Rhonda Devoe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at 9:30 am at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach. Please visit www.AltmeyerFH.com to offer a note of condolence to the family.

I was so sad to hear of Skip’s passing. May the Lord comfort you and send his peace. I am unable to attend tomorrow, so just wanted to let you know that you are in my prayers. Forrest told me about your Dad!
