Mike Barfield, 44, of Virginia Beach passed away on June 19, 2023.
Born in New York on January 1, 1979 to Delia Collotty and Jay Barfield, Mike was stubborn, yet he was humble and had a great sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and respectable. He will be missed dearly and remembered always for his enormous heart.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Makaela Barfield, his siblings, Jaclyn Kenny and Carole Collotty, his parents, Delia Collotty and Jay Barfield, ex-stepfather, Bernard Collotty, who treated Mike as his own, in addition to several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
His services are being handled by the Southside Chapel of Altmeyer Funeral Home in Virginia Beach. The viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 24th. His celebration of life will be the following day, June 25th, at 10 a.m. His final resting place will be announced in the future.
To my dear granddaughters, Jaclyn and Carole Jean, and family. Nana and Poppy are so sorry for the loss of your beloved brother, Mike. I know he was very special and loved by you, your Mother, your Daddy, many friends and family. I know you will all hold special memories of him in your heart.
