Henry Grady Cawthorne, II passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Grady was born November 8, 1949 in Portsmouth Virginia to Henry Grady Cawthorne and Georgia May Cawthorne (Hamm). He was a graduate of Cradock High School, Class of 1968.
Grady worked as a Nuclear Pipefitter for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard until his health failed him.
He is survived by his daughter, Ciara M. Lucas of Portsmouth, Virginia.

I grew up in Highland Biltmore with “Grady”. I remember Grady use to race Go-Karts. His Dad had an Old 1/4 Midget Racer in the Garage that he use to race…..”Rest In Peace My Friend”……

Grady was a good friend in high school .. I still remember the midget racers in N.C. RIP

Knew Grady from elementry to Cradock High til I moved out to Deep Creek in ’65. Remember him as a goo and fun friend. I am sorry for the loss and know many will miss him.

I worked and knew Grady from Shop 56 at NNSY. He was a friend. He always bought a couple of dozens of Krispy Kreme donuts from me when I sold them for youth sports in Cradock. Sorry to hear about his passing. Prayers for the family.
