Helma B. Jenkins

Helma Burnette Jenkins, 81 passed away peacefully on October 14, 2016. She was born November 21, 1934 in Asheville, N.C. to the late Roscoe and Kezzie Burnette.
Helma was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jenkins, Sr. and son Richard Jenkins, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory: her daughter Vickie Fleming (Shawn), daughter-in-law Rhonda Jenkins, grandsons Jack and Kurt Fleming, granddaughters Rachel Jenkins and Jenni Richardson and four great grandchildren Joshua, Heather, Samuel and Cora and her best friend Cheryl McClenney.
Helma was a resident of Virginia Beach since 1954. Her family was extremely important to her and she was a devoted wife, mother and granny. She was always determined to do what was best for her family. Helma was a member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church.
Visitation for Helma will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Maestas Chapel (1801 Baltic Ave. Virginia Beach, VA) from 4 PM until 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at The Gathering at Scott Memorial United Methodist Church (409 First Colonial Rd. Virginia Beach, VA) at 11:00 AM. Procession to Princess Anne Memorial Park to follow the service.
