CHESAPEAKE – Heidi D. Richardson, 59, died December 12, 2022. Heidi was born in La Crosse, WI to the late Richard “Dick” and Dorris Beier Bakke. Heidi enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and riding on a motorcycle with her husband. She was an avid reader of romance novels and loved gardening and creating crafts around the home with her husband. She loved her career, where she got to work alongside all her close friends. She was incredibly intuitive and spent her life caring for family and friends across the country that she always made sure to visit. She treasured time with her fur baby Lucy and doted on all her grand-fur babies Socks, KitKat, Junie, and Maggie. She devoted her life to raising her three children who will miss her dearly. Heidi was predeceased by siblings Sandy Curran and Kevin Bakke.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 33 years, Bradley A. Richardson; children, Crystal Richardson of Groton, CT, April Richardson (Jason Yoder) of Chesapeake, and Corey Richardson of Chesapeake; siblings, Marcia Jandt (Steve) of WI, Paul Bakke of WI, Patti Nicolai (Randy) of TN, Melissa “Missy” Pederson (Phil) of WI, Doug Bakke (Lori) of WI, Steven Bakke (Amber) of WI, and Kathy Smith (Richard) of WI; a niece who was special to her heart, Brooke Schroeder (Chris) of MN, and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm with a celebration of life service immediately following. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
