Grace Agent, age 99, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 14th, 2022.
Grace was a self taught primitive artist, one painting was even selected to be on display in the Smithsonian American Art museum. She also served as an elementary school teacher for a period of her life.
The daughter of the late William and Dixie Hampton, Grace was born in Creeds, VA. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, John Agent, her brothers Alton Hampton and Harvey Hampton as well as her sisters Thelma Munden and Rosalie Hall.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Michael Jackson, whom Grace without fail told daily that “she loved him to pieces”. Also left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you and sincere gratitude to Grace’s amazing and loving caregivers Linda, Lisa and Lindsay as well as her wonderful neighbors; Barbara, Lee and Julian for being there every time she needed you.
Grace’s wishes were to not have a service, as she wants everyone to remember her life and not her death. Grace lived her life making sure her son was taken care of and abundantly loved, and her only wishes are that family and friends continue to love Michael the way she did for so many years.
Grace was such a sweetheart and I will always cherish the time I had with her ❤
Will miss Gracie warm smile and her love for her friends. She was a joy to be around with her and Michael. We will be there for Michael if needed.
