Gloria Jean Mack, “Gloria Jean”, of Chesapeake, VA was called to be with the Lord on May 13, 2022. Gloria was born October 26,1949 in Sanford, Florida to Horace and Irish Glenn.  Gloria was educated in the Sarasota, Florida school system and graduated in 1968 from Booker High School. Later Gloria graduated from Barclay Business college and became a nurses’ assistant and had a long and rewarding career working for Virginia Center for Women until her retirement.

Gloria loved her family and was a loving wife and devoted mother who loved her children Bryan and Shiva, her grandchildren Sterling. Aysha and Torian and her 2 great grandchildren.  Gloria had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She had a special way that warmed the hearts of everyone she knew and she had a feisty personality.

Gloria was a woman of faith who loved Jesus, and was a member of New Life Church.  Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband Tiny Edward Mack, Jr.; mother Irish Glenn; father Horace Glenn; step father Arthur Jones; sister Charlotte Glenn, and brother Horace Glenn Jr.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories her son, Bryan Mack and daughter Leshiva Mack; grandchildren, Sterling Brown, Aysha Wilkins and Torian Mack and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Willie Martin of Sarasota, Rickey Jones (Juanita) of Ft. Lauderdale; sisters Jacqueline Bowens Sarasota, Janice Chestnut, Carletha Hubbard (Jesse), Marvina Coleman (Harry) Wanda Jones, Charlene Gordon (Andrew); aunt Eartha Phelps and uncle Alton Glenn; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous relatives.

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00am.  Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Rd in Chesapeake, Virginia.  Condolences may be left for Gloria’s family below.

My cousin was the 1st an only example I had as a Big Sister, when I was a teen. She may be gone physically, but definitely not gone from my heart ♥️ and memories*
