Glenn Allen Andrews Jr.

Glenn Allen Andrews Jr., 34, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Virginia Beach, VA. Allen was born on January 3, 1989, to parents Janelle Riccio and Thomas Gernheuser in Norfolk, VA.

To state it simply, Allen was a character. His full-time job was chilling and he took it very seriously. In his free time, he enjoyed participating in wild antics with his friends, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, and arguing with any willing participant. Allen could find the humor in almost any situation, and excelled in providing comedic relief to everyone around him. He was fiercely loyal; if Allen considered you a friend, you had a bodyguard for life. He had a tough exterior but a soft heart, and the world is a darker place without him in it.

Allen was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Nancy Smink, as well as his paternal grandmother, Cheri Andrews. Left to cherish his memory are his mother and father, grandfather Lawrence Andrews, sister Krista Andrews (Andre), brothers Taylor (Brittany) and Jessey (Victoria) Gernheuser, nephew Leonitas, and an endless list of devoted family and friends (namely Kristin Smith, Sean Renn, and Jules Davis).

A memorial will be held at 2 pm on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1801 Baltic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.
