Glenda Ann Davis Anderson

Glenda Ann Davis Anderson ,73, born in Columbiana, Alabama to the late Katherine Rush and Alton Davis, passed away on February 24, ending her battle with cancer. She faced the disease with the same determination and courage that she showed throughout her life.
Her life was characterized by her passion for learning and for sharing the breadth of her knowledge. As a teacher in the Montessori Institute of Tidewater, which she established, she touched the lives many students, parents, and faculty members, as she did in many other facets of her life. Because of her love of family and interest in genealogy she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In recent years she raised awareness and advocated for the rights for all veterans through NAMI, focusing on services for those with PTSD.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. Anderson, and survived by her daughter Donika Anderson, son Aaron Anderson, granddaughter Cassidy Wagner, extended family members, and many friends.
Glenda’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Fellowship of the Inner Light, 620  14th Street, Virginia Beach, VA.
