57, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He leaves behind his wife, Magaly Maldonado, his son Kevin Nava and a host of additional family members and loving friends.
That Virginia Beach sky burnin’ in your eyes
You look at me and, babe, I wanna catch on fire
It’s buried in my soul like California gold
You found the light in me that I couldn’t find
So when I’m all choked up
But I can’t find the words
Every time we say goodbye
Baby, it hurts
When the sun goes down
And the band won’t play
I’ll always remember us this way
Lovers in the night
Poets tryin’ to write
We don’t know how to rhyme
But, damn, we try
But all I really know
You’re where I wanna go
The part of me that’s you will never die.
Condolences may be left for Gerardo’s family below.
We will always remember you with your big smile and a loving heart. You will be missed, even though we didn’t be with you on your last days you still our lovable cousin, nephew, brother. Rest in peace sweetheart we will meet again.
Ivette and Gerardo were two united and loving brothers. Complicit in their happy moments and collaborators in adverse situations.
Rest in peace Gerardo
He is my soul brother, the eldest of 4 siblings and the nephew of an aunt who loves him as if he were his own son. We did NOT have the opportunity to say goodbye to him or to participate in his wake since the one who calls himself his wife (only on paper) since she never processed the divorce very wisely and her son, Magaly Maldonado and Kevin Navas, has kept us without information regarding the death of my brother.
My brother was not an orphan, if he has a family that we love and miss him.
I will remember him with all the love in the world as he was an excellent son and brother. A great humble, kind, cheerful human being.
What a pity that his last breath was surrounded by hatred and evil.
May his soul rest in peace.
Fly high bro!!! You are already free!!!
I will sound the Sonora Ponceña in your honor.
