Georgeanna M (Kuchta) Lyston, 80, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Georgeanna, known to family and friends as “George”, “Aunt G”, and “Ti”, was a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She was a devoted mom and proud grandmom / great grandmom. She worked in secretarial and accounting positions including Koppers, Caltec Cablevision (Comcast), and retired from WMAR 2. She enjoyed Ocean City with her sons and their dad, but her passion was ancient history and she visited Egypt, Greece, Italy, Peru, and Turkey. She even saw Roman ruins in Germany when going to meet her first great granddaughter.

She is missed by her loving family: sisters, Mary Rose, Doris Jants, and Jane Kuchta; children Philip (Colleen), Gregory (Karen), and Jeffrey Lyston; grandchildren Shaun (Brandi), Keith, and Gretchen Lyston, Chris (Amanda) and Kelly Kalb, and Emma Hoskins; great granddaughters, Bennett, Ashlynn, and Cadence Lyston. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Doris (Koles) Kuchta.

Saturday, May 13th, 7PM to 9PM, family and friends will share a casual meal and memories of Georgeanna Lyston on the deck of Casa Mia’s 8601 Honeygo Blvd. Nottingham, MD 21236.

There is no service in Virginia. A mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Middle River), 1704 Old Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland, 21221. Interment is private.

Georgeanna was committed to donating blood during her working years. In lieu of flowers, green or red donations, in her honor, can be made to the American Red Cross.

Our family lost a wonderful member today & Heaven gained an Angel. AUNT G you will be missed we love you and the way you made us laugh. The stories you shared with us we’re amazing. We’ll always remember our Aunt G and I’m so glad we were able to share our life with you . You hold a special place in our hearts now and always.
