Gavin Walker Lucas passed away September 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his loving parents, Cierra Bryant and Zackery Lucas, grandparents, and many other family members who loved him already.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 5792 Greenwich Rd., Virginia Beach. A burial in Princess Anne Memorial Park will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you bring an infant’s toy or rattle to the service for donation to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.

Sorry for the loss of your little Prince. I pray that you will find comfort in knowing that Galvin is resting in perfect peace in his heavenly home. I’m praying for peace and understand for his mommy and daddy and the rest of his family.
I wish I could have met you little guy. You sure we’re a fighter, just like the both of your parents. Your face is forever imprinted in the both of their hearts. Gavin will always be with you two. Stay strong Cierra and Zack and have faith. I love the 3 of you! Fly high little guy

Dear Cierra and Zack,
As I think about your little angel in heaven I can’t help but think of my niece Aria too. I picture Aria and Gavin playing “Ring Around the Rosie” together and laughing hysterically as they both fall down. I smile as I wonder how many nursery rhymes Aria has taught Gavin thus far.
One day a very long time from now we will be in their presence again, but in the meantime we will have to settle for their spirits watching over us.

Dear Cierra and Zack,
My deepest sympathy and condolences. Gavin will always be with you, protecting and comforting you, as well as sharing your good times dancing, singing and laughing with you. One way to honor Gavin is live life as if he is here with you. Focus on kindness and love, and be the people that Gavin would be proud to call Mom and Dad. I can see him in heaven now, gazing down upon you asking the other angels to help him embrace you during this tough journey.
