Gary Norman Williams, 67, of Chesapeake, VA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.  In the early morning hours of May 17, 2023, the trumpets sounded, and the angels came to take him home.

Gary loved cars, traveling, and his dogs.  Gary spent many years as a long-distance car hauler, where he logged thousands of miles across the United States before joining his wife in the Gutter Business, where his hard-working and exemplar business ethics helped to make the business thrive. Gary’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.  He had the biggest heart, the warmest smile, and the most contagious laugh.

Perhaps he will be remembered most for his giving heart and spunky sense of humor.  Gary believed in goodwill to those who needed it the most and he believed that people deserved second chances. His loyalty to his family and friends was extraordinary.  He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and pride.  Gary loved BIG! He will be missed dearly.

He was proceeded in death by his father Walter Williams, his son Shane Williams, grandson Austin Chirico, and family member Josh Beagle.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Vivian Williams, his mother, Martha Williams, his children Sharla Williams, Melissa Antia-Obong (Obot), Jean Chirico (Joseph), Marsha Kibodeaux (Jeremy), Brandon Williams, and Daniel Williams.

Also left to cherish his memory is his 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, Jene, Skila, Angelina, Ha-ani, Juliana, Kiyla, Maddox, Allen, Meadow, Janaysha, and Jade.

Gary’s siblings included Glenn, Debbie, Junior (JoAnn), Debra, Danny (Faye), Curtis

Lastly, perhaps those who may cherish him most are his Miles of Seamless Gutter team and his countless family members and friends.

Special thanks to Legacy Hospice for their exceptional care and comfort to him and his family.

Gary wanted to leave his family and friends with these final words…. “Don’t worry about a thing, every little thing is going to be alright”

Services will be held 2:00 pm on May 27, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home located at 929 S Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
