Garrin Dale Teed

November 4, 1980 - April 12, 2023

11/04/1980 - 04/12/2023

Garrin Dale Teed, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Garrin was born November 4, 1980, to Dale and Virginia Teed in Warsaw, New York. He was a graduate of Newark Valley High School. He also received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Valley Forge, and a Master of Business Administration from Regent University.

Garrin met his needle-in-a-haystack and beloved wife, Jessica Teed, while working at the Christian Broadcasting Network in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he worked as a Workforce Management Planning Analyst in the Prayer Center. Garrin also served as a board member for King’s Gate International.

Garrin loved Jesus and was a prayer warrior. He spent every morning walking through his neighborhood and praying, not only for those he knew and loved, but also for those he was seeing on his morning walk. He had no problem stopping and praying for anyone who needed it. He was passionate about serving his church and helping to further the Kingdom of God alongside his pastor and friend, Chris, and his wife, Jessica.

Garrin was full of the joy of the Lord, and he kept everyone around him laughing. He was kind to everyone he met whether he knew them or not. In his free time, he enjoyed puzzles and games of all kinds and was exceptionally good at them too. He also enjoyed walking on the beach with his wife, Jessica, and looking for beach treasures he thought she would like.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessica; his mother Virginia Teed, his father Dale Teed and his stepmother Anita Teed; his mother-in-law Helen Zelinski and her significant other Arden Dillon, his father-in-law Sam Bankert and his wife Becky Bankert,  his siblings Miranda, Doug, and Moriah Teed; his step-sister Bekah Dutcher, brothers-in-law Joshua and Adam Bankert, Todd Gladfelter, and Brandon Gerhat, sisters-in-law, Lauren Teed, Tabitha and Rebecca Bankert, and Angela Moss, his nieces and nephews Carleigh, Jasmine, Gracie, Amelia, Emily, Nathan, Everett, Peyton, and Brooks, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday May 7th at 3pm on the campus of the Christian Broadcasting Network, in the Chapel of the Corporate Support Building at 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach. A private service for immediate family will be held on the beach after the Celebration of Life Service in Virginia Beach. To help accommodate all family and friends, a second Celebration of Life Service will be held in Pennsylvania at a date, time, and location, yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Garrin’s honor to King’s Gate International, a ministry near and dear to his heart, by visiting www.kingsgate.international. Condolences may be left for the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.

My condolences to Garrin’s family.

I remember Garrin from Valley Forge Christian College. We were business students together. He was always the better, more driven student. Whenever we were paired together for group projects, he always carried the team. I will always remember Garrin as a kind, patient man who shines the love of Jesus. I remember him sharing his testimony with me. My heart is full to know that he is with his Savior.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my beloved nephew Garrin. After reading all of the condolence messages, I can see how many lives Garrin has deeply touched. I knew Garrin best as a handsome young boy living in Somers New York, near where I grew up. The birth of Garrin had changed my status from a just teenager to uncle, and I thought that was amazing. I loved joking with him over his unique name – GarrinTeed. The memory of Garrin will always be in my heart and prayers. My deepest condolences to Jessica, family and friends.

My prayers and condolences go out to Jessica, the family and friends of our dear beloved brother in Christ, Garrin. I will miss his special gift of joy and laughter that was contagious. Garrin could always see the positive in any situation and found a reason to smile. I thank God for the blessing of being his coworker at CBN and friend.

Prayers of comfort,
