CHESAPEAKE- Gardner Ledell Perry, Jr. 78, passed away in his home with family by his side on Friday, July 31, 2020. He was born in Virginia to the late Gardner Ledell Perry, Sr. and Virginia Perry. Gardner worked as an aircraft mechanic.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth “Libby” Mae Perry; a son and a daughter. He is survived by four children, Gardner L. Perry, III, Richard Carl Athans, Jr., Dana Joy Nixon (Mike), and Roxann Leonard (Barry); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Mclawhorne.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10am in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake.
Altmeyer Funeral Home, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd. Chesapeake is in charge of the arrangements.
