Frederick Icban

Frederick S. Icban, 47, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Norfolk General Hospital surrounded by loved ones.  He was born in Lubao, Pampanga on October 24, 1974 to Leonardo and Mary Icban.
Fred leaves behind his sons Makai (Rosemary), Erick, Chase, and Alex; his daughters Leah and McKenzie; brother Fernan (Vangie); sisters Fe (Eric) and Fritzie (Nick).  In addition, left behind to cherish Fred’s memory are a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Fred and his family immigrated to Virginia Beach, VA in the early 1990s.  His love for music such as playing in his band back home in the Philippines, strumming his guitar with his children and family, and his signature long locks were well known to all who knew and loved him.  Just as passionate as he was for music, Fred was a loving family man.  His fierce love and dedication to his children and family were proven through his tireless and endless hard work.  Fred began his career with Acoustical Sheetmetal Incorporated then moved on to TFC for roughly 15 years as a Professional Welder. His most recent achievement was finding his way back to ASI as a Co-Supervisor.
Family and friends will fondly remember Fred for his sense of humor, love for family, and kindness, which has been passed on to his beautiful children.
Viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Dr. in Virginia Beach.  Mass will be held at 4:00 pm followed by visitation until 9:00 pm Monday, March 14, 2022.  Condolences may be left for the family below.
