Frederica “Ricky” Denk

Frederica “Ricky” Denk, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2022. Born in Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late John and Imelda Otto.  She retired from the City of Virginia Beach as a teacher.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Jeffrey Denk and her daughter Janet Horowitz-Pack (Brett); ten grandchildren, Heather Padilla, Michael and Amanda Denk, Dylan and his wife Alex and Zachary Horowitz, Antonio and Austin Pack, Annie and his wife Lystra Hastur and Colyn and Hannah Robinson; eleven great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Isaiah, Jade, Jeremiah, Bella, Jacob, Noah, Luke, Jackson, Jocelyn and Kasey; her daughter in-law, Michelle Denk Padgett and son in law, Craig Robinson.  She is preceded in death by her brother Ted Otto, her son John Denk, daughter Judith Robinson and former husband, Allan Denk.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday January 29, 2022 at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Southside Chapel, 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
