Franklin Morey Gregory, 70, passed away on the evening of January 17th, 2022. He was the son of the late Rupert and Frances Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan; son, Shane; daughter, Gretchen; granddaughter, Charlotte; sister, Donna Mishler (Lawrence); many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Frankie retired after 30 years from working with his good friend, Billy, at W.E. Curling. Frankie cherished his time with his family in Kitty Hawk and loved surfing with his son and friends. Frankie could often be found outdoors enjoying nature. He was a wonderful, kind man who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. On behalf of Frankie, we, his family, would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love, prayers, and support.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, February 12th, at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory United Methodist Church, 2708 Battlefield Blvd. S., Chesapeake, Virginia. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

It seems like yesterday when you called me and told me you got married! I couldn’t believe it, but when I met Frankie for the first time I knew why You were able to share a wonderful lifetime together in 51 years♡ What a great husband and Dad he became as you grew together ❤️ He will be missed by many, but not the same as your loss! Hugs and love Becky
