Frances Merrill

Frances Merrill, 91, of Newport News passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Henry Merrill lll.
She was a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church.
Frances enjoyed playing bridge, scrabble and putting together puzzles. She is a former member of the
Newport news Garden Club. She loved traveling, spending time at the beach, and most of all she loved.
spending time with her family.
Frances is survived by her loving children David Scott, Ricky Merrill, Bill Merrill, and Ann Scott. She is
also survived by 7 grandchildren as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, 2pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home – Denbigh
Chapel.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
