Mrs. Ethel M. Brown, born on February 17, 1925, daughter of the late Samuel Cumberbatch and Mary Conover-Cumberbatch passed away on February 13, 2023. She was an active member of the Ambassadors for Christ Worship Center in Norfolk Virginia and prior to that a member of Friendly Christian Church of Brooklyn, New York.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of her children Dolores Kinard, Curtis Brown Jr. (Diane) and Denise Wallace (Arthur); her seven grandchildren Jerry Kinard Jr., David Kinard (Reva), Richard Kinard (Monique), Viola C. Brown, Jamar Snead (Nicole), and Ta-Tanisha Wallace (Erica) along with 18 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, many other extended devoted family members, church members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Brown Sr.,  son Alfred Brown, sons-in-law Jerry Kinard Sr. and Sidney L. Wallace and grandson Darrell Kinard (Denise).

A private ceremony will take place in Inman, South Carolina at Divine Purpose Ministries.
