Emily was such a good neighbor. She would spend time talking in the yard and sharing life’s experinces with Linda and I. Her love for animals showed through in careing for them. She all ways laughed with us and helped us in times of emergency’s. As Jesus said: “You Will Be With Me In Paradise” Luke Chapter 23:Verse 43. Linda and I look forward to seeing her again.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nurse Petro at Carver. She was always smiling.
I enjoyed the couple of times she met with several of us for lunch. She always kept us laughing. May God bless your family.

Kay Kay was a joy to be around. When she walked into a room it seems somebody turned their bright lights on. It kind of reminds me of that Jim Carrey movie where he lassoed the moon and pulled it to the balcony. It sure brightened things up..just like Emily did.
Emily did so much for so many she will be sorely missed.
I love you Kay Kay.

“Petro” ( as the staff at Carver Elementary called her ) was the finest human being, nurse, friend, and support you could dream off! We often had to limit students and staff in her clinic because we always git that bright smile, hearty laugh, and comfort from Emily. My heart hurts but I rejoice for having the privilege of knowing her.

Emily was my favorite big sister cousin when we were girls – I always looked up to her and loved her energy and enthusiasm and kind and loving personality. And when we got together as old, seasoned adults we still always had a connection and great times. All of your loved ones in eternity have welcomed you with cries of joy I am sure, and we who remain here will remember you forever, and always with much love.

My job was itinerant years ago, when I met Emily at Carver Elementary. I never failed to stop in her office when I was in and out of the school. No matter what kind of day anyone was having, she always had a smile and a cheerful outlook and one couldn’t help but feel better after chatting with her. There is often a student stopping in for a quick hug and she was loving to all. Emily also helped me get my CPR training for many years and she always made it fun. I will remember her as the smiling nurse in the photo you chose for her obituary. My condolences go to her family.

I picture Emily sitting in her busy, cramped little clinic at Carver Elementary School, multi-tasking with a smile on her face – interacting with students, parents, and staff with the patience of a saint. She surely touched many, many lives with her loving nature. You are home now Emily, and peace, love, and wellbeing are your reward.
