Eldreth.  She had a deep love of animals, especially her cats and pugs. She performed multiple occupations over her life to include cake decorating, waitressing, bookkeeping, and as a beloved employee of the original Buckroe Beach Fishing Pier until its demise in 2003.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert M. Sanford, are her daughters, Renee and Veronica, her son, Michael, her grandchildren, Joshua, Ainslei, Hayden, Rayne, and Draven, two great grandchildren Emberleigh and Paislynn, one sister, Donna Leach, as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norma J. Ginger requested that her cremains be returned in a private service to the Great Smokey Mountains that she called home in the event of her death. Instead of flowers, the family requests that you please do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in her memory. Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel, 7415 River Rd., Newport News, VA 23607 is assisting with the arrangements.

My Wife was the Greatest Woman I have ever known. She always Loved me thru Thick and Thin. No matter what went on in our Lives she was always there for me. I Love Ginger Sanford more than Life Itself. Ginger comes to visit me too show me just how much she still Loves me and it is so overwhelming when she shows me. I have no Doubt that she Loved me just as much as I ever Loved Her. I know Ginger is in Heaven with her Beautiful face Long hair and those Beautiful Eyes that she has now. She is more Beautiful than a sunrise on the Beach. May I never Lose our Love for one another. Ginger keep me and the kids surrounded with your undying Love. You are gone but you will never ever be forgotten. Ginger you are my Angel. My Blue Angel. I Love You
