Jackie, Margaret and Junior, your father has passed on to his next journey, but what both your Father and Mother(Naomi) encouraged, nurtured and instilled in you, that will never depart.  They gave you more than the gift of life…they gave of themselves; as you will give to your nuclear family. I love you all as my siblings and I pray God will continue to comfort you through your times of grieving. Love you all so much! Sharon (“Shake”).

I am sure I will be too emotional today to speak, but I wanted to thank all of Dad’s friends and our family who are/were able to attend the Viewing and the Funeral Service. It is a testament to his extroverted and kind personality that he had so many friends from all walks of life. I could not have had a better father who showed me how to go after my dreams by his fortitude in whatever he pursued. A great example of his dogged determination was his goal of earning his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Norfolk State University at night while he was working full-time, raising four kids, all after his 20-year Air Force career. Well done, Dad! I am going to miss our lively discussions about everything!
