I would like to thank him for writing my rice open stax concept of biology book he is to thank for helping me stay prepared and on top of my biology with his affordable and yet undeniably valuable information on science.
A dear friend and colleague. One of the kindest people I have ever had a privilege to work with. Rest on Jim. I am so sorry we lost contact. But, your legacy lives on via your children, grandchildren and the students you educated. My deepest condolences to your family.
Just heard about Jim’s passing. Worked with him for many years at Hampton U. So sad. condolences to the family.
So sad to hear this! Jim spent many hours teaching me about biology when we were undergrads at Mac. I remember that he looked like the king of hearts, and had a great heart and a great intellect. I think of him whenever I hear the grateful dead.
