Mrs. Dorothy (Dolly) Rosalie Boyle of Virginia Beach offered her last breath on December 19, 2022. She lived to see 84 years and died of natural causes.
Dolly was born in Chelsea, MA, to Joseph and Agnes Ksypka. She had two younger sisters, Mary Tibbetts and Helen Ksypka.
Drawn to music from her earliest days, Dolly taught ballroom dancing as a young adult and sang soprano in the choir for as long as she could physically attend her Catholic church, of which she was a devoted member.
She will join her beloved husband, James (Jim) Frances Boyle. They were married in 1970 in Newport, RI. Both felt at home near the ocean, and they moved from Newport to Virginia Beach in 1972, where they shared a happy life together before Jim’s passing in 2003.
Dolly is survived and will be sadly missed by her son Jerome Grindle, her granddaughter Maya Grindle, her stepdaughter Deborah Wojcik, her sister Helen, and her friends Lavinia Reed and Joe and Sue Green.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach, VA. Condolences may be left for Dolly’s family below.
