Dorothy Faye was a wonderful cousin. I admire her as a child. Looked up to her. Whenever she visit i couldn’t wait to see her. Always until the end made me feel special. I remember when my sister’s and i were bathing and she was there, when she promised to give a nickel to whoever cleaned their ears the cleanness. I believed we all won the nickel, and walked around that evening with beet red ears. Lol…She was funny, kind, caring and most of all shes loved and missed very much. I will never forget her. I still get a smile when i think of that day.

Sorry for your loss. I remember Dorothy (Dee) as a funny person and a person who loved her family. Gene, to you, Tommie and to Cottie be strong and remember those special times; and always remember she will always be close because she will always be in you hearts.

Aunt Dee was an amazing woman. She stepped in as my “Aunt” 38 years ago. Our birthdays are just a day apart and one of my best memories was spending my 16th birthday with her, her sister Doris and her niece Cottie, my best friend. We went to the haunted house down at the oceanfront…..she was in front of me and I held on to her the whole time. Bless her heart….her arms had black and blue marks on them the next day from me holding on to her so tight. We had so much fun at her house in Chesapeake when we were young. She always made me feel like family. I love her so much, I feel very honored to have been in her life. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. My love and prayers are with you Gene and Tommy. God bless.
