Donald “Don” Costigan passed away surrounded by family and friends suddenly on February 11, 2022 in Virginia Beach Va. Don was in private practice as a licensed clinical social worker. He was owner of New Bridges along with his late wife Joyce. Don served in the Navy during Vietnam and retired from the Naval Reserve. Don was born to Laurence and Beatrice Costigan on April 2, 1948 in Staten Island, NY. Don received his masters degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduation he moved to Virginia and started his private counseling practice with his late wife Joyce.
In addition to being predeceased by his parents, Don was predeceased by his brother Kevin. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Margaret Mary Costigan, brother Kim Costigan, and nephew Todd Costigan all of Knoxville TN; stepson David Hoffman of Suffolk, VA and step daughter Tonya Craig Moyock, NC.
