Diane Louise (McKay) Clary, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 2 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Diane was born October 3, 1936 to Leslie and Ada McKay in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
At age 18, Diane left the farm where she grew up and joined the United States Marine Corps, attending boot camp and being stationed at Parris Island, South Carolina. After marrying and raising two children, Diane entered college and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University.
Diane went on to enjoy a career in administration at the University and retired to Virginia Beach in 1999 to be near her grandchildren, where she began a new vocation as a water aerobics instructor.
Diane was predeceased by her daughter, Laura, and is survived by her son John and grandchildren Jamie, Lainie and Benjamin.
