Diana McGinnis

Diana Mariam Ann Harmon McGinnis went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015. She was proceeded in death by her parents John and Wilhelmina Harmon. She was a vibrant part of her community, church and family. She worked for the Newport News school system as a bus aide alongside her husband, James McGinnis for 17 years. Diana leaves behind her husband James of 50 years; her daughters, Amy (Billy) Slaten, Kathleen (Jeff) Maynard, Amanda (Pieter) Blanksma; her grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Mark, and John Slaten, Hannah and Noah Maynard, and Olivia Blanksma; her great grandchildren, Avalynn and Arieonna Slaten. She believed in giving to those in need and had a charitable heart. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to her charities: Bible-A-Month Partnership Fellowship P.O. Services will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10am Altmeyer Funeral Home.
