Delores Ann Lawrence, age 60, passed away on January 21, 2024, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Born on April 18, 1963, Delores brought a lively spirit and a touch of excitement to everything she did.
Delores will be dearly missed by her two sons, Christopher and Jeffrey Minson. As well as her sisters Dorothy Broussard, Mary Warren and her brother-in-law Jack Warren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert C. Lawrence, whom she shared five wonderful years with along with her loving parents, Kenneth and Joan Sypult.
Delores had an outgoing personality that brightened up any room she entered. Her friendly nature and willingness to lend a helping hand made her a beloved member of her community. Delores had a heart full of kindness, always ready to assist anyone in need. One of Delores’ greatest passions was bingo. She never missed a chance to test her luck and enjoyed the thrill of the game. Her love for gambling extended beyond the bingo hall, as she frequently indulged in lottery scratch-offs. With her playful spirit, Delores always kept everyone guessing what win she would secure next.
In addition to her fondness for games of chance, Delores cherished her faithful companion, Mindy, her beloved dog. Mindy was a source of unconditional love and provided endless joy to Delores throughout the years. Delores was also a proud member of the Knight of Pythias, where friendship, charity, and benevolence were held dear. She valued being a part of this community, as it aligned with her own values of extending kindness to others. Although Delores may not have achieved notable accolades in her life, she left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Her witty humor, infectious laughter, and caring nature will forever be treasured.
