Dawn Ann McClaren

April 13, 1980 - March 23, 2022

04/13/1980 - 03/23/2022

Dawn Ann McClaren born April 13, 1980, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2022.  She will be greatly missed as a partner, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She is survived by her partner, Gus, her son, Robert, her parents, Robert and Grace, her sisters, Jennifer, Melissa (Jason), and Christine (Reggie), nieces and nephew, and her beloved dog, Johnnie.
She took joy in and brought joy to others by adding a little beauty to the world through her hair styling and her garden.  She was always excited to share different bits of life discovered in the latter.  Her recently renewed love for learning was infectious and she loved discussing the things she had found out whether about her studies or the world in general.  She loved music, dancing, and the beach, where she was well known for her American flag bathing suit.
She was always there to share a show, a game, or chat with some beer (Budweiser of course, to match the bathing suit) and some cheer.  A Celebration of Life is being planned for the end of July, beginning of Aug details to be determined.

Rest In Peace!

We grew up together in Navy Housing. Never a dull moment with all of us kids running around. From days at the beach to dance recitals, she had this spirit about her. Was sad to hear she passed and my heart goes out to her son and family.

I had the privilege of having Dawn as a wife for 11 years of the 17 years total we were together. Although our romantic feelings are long gone, we remained good friends and parental partners for our son. Dawn, I want to thank you for raising him as a child and I will continue to do so while I take him into manhood. I am forever grateful to you as a partner, a former wife, a mother to my son, and as a good friend over all. You may not be here in the physical but I will make sure your legacy will live on through our son. This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you later!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I meet her at AOC salon and continued to follow her wherever she went. She was that awesome with her talent. She will be deeply missed. RIP beautiful.
