Daniel John Armond

January 30, 1971 - May 5, 2022

01/30/1971 - 05/05/2022

On Thursday, May 5, 2022 Daniel “Bubba” John Armond, Jr. passed away. Daniel was born on January 30, 1971 in San Diego, California. He was an incredible son, brother, husband, stepfather, grandpa, uncle and friend.  He was predeceased by his father, Daniel John Armond, Sr, his mother, Clara Ann Lefevre, his sister, Yvonne Todd and his beloved dog, Luna.
He moved to the Virginia Beach area at a year of age. During his youth he was what you call wild, free and a little crazy, or maybe a lot. He discovered a love for music especially the bass. He moved to Raleigh, NC where his love for music grew and he became a member of various bands and he met some amazing lifelong friends. After the passing of his father, he moved back to Virginia Beach to care for his mom. Daniel took great pride in his work as a contractor as he had a love for fixing all things. Regardless of work and music, Daniel had other interests. He found joy in disc golfing, dee-jaying, Formula1 racing, rooting for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys and he had a love for hockey, always cheering on the Boston Bruins. Many may not know but Daniel was what his family joked as a geek. He loved anything with nature as well taking his grandkids into the woods or watching shows with them to try and spread the love of nature to them.
Of all things in his life, the one thing that meant the most to him was his life with his wife, Jill. He spent years knowing she was the one and trying to convince her. She finally agreed to go on a date thanks to his persistence tactics in 2016 and the rest is history. They had a love like no other. Daniel was then thrown into the crazy family and he quickly took to the role of being a father figure and grandpa to her children and grandchildren. They joined their families forever and became husband and wife on June 24, 2021.
He was the most selfless person and would do anything for anybody. Daniel was also a very stand-up man and stuck to his word. If he ever said he would do something, he made sure it got done and followed through with it. He was quite the character and kept the laughter flowing.  He loved hard and if you were in his circle, you were not just a friend you were family.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Armond, his sister, Linda Armond (Steve), brother-in-law, Dan Todd. As well as his step-children, Alex, Meredith (Chris) and Alayna, his grandchildren Savannah, CJ, Marley, Kyler and Janie, nephews, Brian (Amanda) and Damon (Becky), nieces, Samantha (Moe), Desiree (Cody) and Jen (Aaron), his great-nephews/nieces Elijah, Elaine, Khalid, Remi and Adam, many extended family members and several friends.
Daniel will be missed deeply. In an amazing last act of selflessness, Daniel wanted his body donated to the anthropology forensics program in NC.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jill I am so sorry that Daniel had to leave so soon, but God has a plan and we just don’t know what it is yet. I know the lost feeling, but you knew how much he loved you and the family and that is a blessing in its self. You both loved each other which few can say and he will be watching and still loving you even if you can’t see him he is with you.
